How can we help you?

myTimeline is the service offered by Timeline, Inc. and allows users to safely and securely store memories in an digital map for later retrieval.
myTimeline operates similar to a digital scrapbook, giving you the ability to add memories to your digital timeline at any point in your life, even pre-date of birth. You can add text or diary entries, photos, and other multimedia.
Unlike traditional social media, myTimeline scrolls left-to-right instead of up-and- down. You can browse through your memories by adjusting zoom granularity or searching by keyword.
myTimeline is a fun and new way to securely store and retrieve your most valued belongings—your memories—in chronological order. myTimeline is free of ads, interest groups and marketing propaganda, which clutters the user experience and is why many other online services are free to use.
There are three monthly or yearly subscription options. Please refer to the Subscription Plan for details on the benefits and cost of each tier.
No, you are not locked into a contract. There is a membership agreement with each subscription tier that automatically renews monthly or yearly, but you can cancel anytime.
myTimeline is a vault for your memories and is free of business sponsorships, which often pays for data storage and server maintenance. The trial option is just that—a way for you to decide if myTimeline is a valuable service for you.

A primary timeline is your timeline—the one you build by adding memories.
You can add text, photos and other multimedia based on your subscription tier.
Once you’ve signed up, simply click on the “+” sign to add a new memory.
You have two options:
1. You can archive that memory and it will be hidden from your timeline, which also removes it from any other shared location, but you can reinstate it at a later time, if you wish.
2. You can delete a memory will permanently remove it from your timeline and cannot be reinstated at a later time.
No, there is no limit to the number of memories you can add/create.
If you decide to cancel your membership with myTimeline, you can:
1) Suspend your subscription for a low monthly fee. This will prohibit new memories from being added, but you can still view those you’ve already created.
2) Cancel your subscription. You can view and download your memories for 30 days, at which point your memories will be deleted but your account will be retained in our system in case you re-subscribe.
3) Delete your account. You can view and download your memories for 30 days, at which point your memories and account will be permanently deleted from our system.
      a. If you choose options 2 or 3, you can request your memories be saved to a USB flash drive and mailed to you for a fee.
Sub-timelines are separate timelines from your own that further organize your memories based on close, interpersonal relationships, such as a spouse or significant other and/or your children.
We share different memories with different people, such as a dinner out with your spouse vs. your child’s first birthday. A sub-timeline provides a way to keep a separate and organized collection of memories based on the event and who you share it with.
Once you’ve subscribed, simply click on the “+” sign to create a new memory and create a new sub-timeline at the same time.
Yes, you can create more than one sub-timeline, based on your subscription tier.
If both you and your spouse/significant other have at least a Tier II subscription within your myTimeline accounts, you can merge the sub-timelines that you created for each other, which enables automatic sharing of mutual memories in your respective sub-timelines. This bypasses the need for permission to share/copy memories with others.
All the memories that are added to one sub-timeline will be automatically copied/transferred to the other sub-timeline.
No, a sub-timeline will always remain separate from your primary timeline.
No, a sub-timeline can be merged with only one other person.
You will retain and be able to view/retrieve existing memories saved to the sub- timeline, but will not be able to add additional memories to the sub-timeline.
The visibility function controls whether or not you can be found in a search by someone else. Unlike social media, this feature defaults to ‘off’, which means that you are invisible to others all the time.
When the feature is turned ‘on’, you can be found in a search, but there is a time limit and a limit to the number of times you can turn on this feature. your close friends or family searches for you. Once the connection has been made, turn off your visibility to once again become invisible from all searches.
myTimeline is not social media, so even with visibility is turned ‘on’, it’s. intended only to connect with close family and friends. It’s another way to keep your information safe.
The ‘Follow’ option allows you to see others’ non-private memories on your Newsfeed only. The ‘Add/Connect’ allows you see non-private memories in your Newsfeed, but also view the others’ full timeline. The latter function is intended for family only. Approvals are needed for both options.
Yes. You can set a memory to be private when you add it or anytime afterward. This will make the memory visible only to you—it will not appear in the Newfeed and be hidden from your family/friends who can view your timeline.
Sub-timelines are visible to the user and to family/friends who you give access to view your timeline.
Only you. Memories saved to the merged sub-timeline by either person will automatically copy, that’s all.
No, entire sub-timelines are invisible to others, but any memories that have been copied from a sub-timeline to your primary timeline are visible, unless those memories are marked private.
You have the option to de-merge your sub-timelines. One of the two individuals must request to de-merge sub-timelines from the options menu. A notification would be sent to the other person for approval. Existing memories would be retained (unless archived or deleted) but the automatic sharing of memories would end.
If the request to de-merge sub-timelines is not approved after 30 days, you would need to contact Timeline, Inc. customer service for assistance. Note: This may put your account On Watch.
Accounts are put ‘On Watch’ whenever if reported by someone else. You will receive an email notification and actions required to lift the watch. Failure to comply will result in subscription cancellation and possible deletion.
Like social media, we want everyone to enjoy their experience with myTimeline, but sometimes that’s harder to control than expected. If you notice suspicious or malicious activity, we encourage you to report the user for investigation.
You can keep existing sub-timelines, but any memories copied to your primary timeline will remain visible to your connections (i.e. spouse) unless they are private. You could also end the sub-timeline for your previous relationship, and create a new one for your new relationship.
No, sub-timelines are always invisible to connections, unless they are merged.
All memories are private in a sub-timeline unless it has been merged with another’s sub-timeline.
